This Vision Statement contains the high level objectives of Goalball
New Zealand for the period covering the years 2003 through 2008. It is a
living document that will from time to time be updated to more
coherantly describe the objectives as time passes. The statement is broken into 5 sections :

Our Mission Statement
To build a solid foundation so goalball becomes a self perpetuating sport.
Development
- To implement programs that increase the number of participants and their skills within Goalball.
- To implement programmes that develop international relations and competition.
Governance
To have an elected Board which acts responsibly and is accountable for
establishing and maintaining policies, processes and structures for
administration of goalball for New Zealanders.
Finance
- To gain and maintain sufficient funds to achieve our objectives in a conservative and prudent financial manner.
- To be conservative and responsible with the management of GNZ funds which includes reserves.
- To promote the use of funding separate from Blind Sport New Zealand.
- Meet regulatory obligations e.g. membership of BSNZ, and Incorporation.
- To not go into debt.
Game Play
- To have goalball played throughout New Zealand at a local club level.
- To have structured regional and National competitions.
- To participate in a multi-international tournament.
Communication
- To provide relevant information to all stakeholders in their appropriate format and in a timely manner.
- To promote Goalball in a manner that will increase the awareness of the game nationally.
